The Swing That Never Was.
Ryan Howard will have plenty of time this winter to think about Brian Wilson’s back door slider while staring at an old book of Little League tips that reads: “When it’s the bottom of the ninth during the final game of the season, and there are two runners on base and your team’s down by a run, you need to swing at anything close.”
And Howard will think to himself, “Man. This book has some awfully prescient examples.”
